I ask because I'm one of very few conservatives with an open mind. I have never heard anybody try to influence laws because of God; only because they value tradition and freedom. Could you name examples...  read more...

Yes, children are a blessing from God...but not everyone should have them. For instance, people who are financially unstable or who would produce a harmful environment for their children probably shouldn't...  read more...

2. Two choices: Spend every single waking second from the moment of my birth wondering if I'll live until the next second, spend half my day looking for meals, be exposed to the elements, and finally pass away with a carnivore ripping my throat open...OR getting my meals handed over to me, getting care whenever I'm sick, having a safe house to live in, and pretty much have all the luxuries I need with the added side effect of having people watch me 24/7. Add on the fact that I can't even concieve the concept of animal rights, and I think you know what choice I'm going to go with. read more...

3. First of all, sex isn't the biggest issue when thinking about marriage. At least it shouldn't be. Also, I find it stupid that anybody wouldn't be a virgin (excluding rape victims). Want a 100% guarantee that you won't get pregnant or contract a veneral disease? Abstinence! It's more than a moral issue; it's also a common sense issue. You hear stories all the time about poor girls getting pregnant and can't afford the baby they want, or guys that just got AIDS so now they might die. There's only one way to be put into that situation, and it's YOUR fault. So virgins would make good partners because they have common sense. read more...

4. Well, I only just got into politics recently, so cut me a break. But I will say that conservatives seem to be very close-minded. I listen to talk radio a lot, and every time a liberal gets on the phone they slam them down almost immediately. Anyone who's listened to Mark Levin can tell you that. And Rush Limbaugh seems pretty conceited. read more...

5. Talking to God is normal because it's socially acceptable--at least, that's how I define "normal." However, it is not normal to hear God talking back. God just doesn't work that way. One of the symptoms of schizophrenia is delusions and hallucinations, including hearing voices. Some paranoid schizophreniacs hear important people's voices in their heads, which leads them to think that they themselves are important, which leads them to think people are after them. Or maybe he really does talk to them. How should we know what God does? read more...

by Homestar on 11 May 2009 05:37:39
No, I would not do that to a picture, not even a bad one. This was a tongue in cheek debate. I have a wicked sense of humor. However, I think this was done as dark and an irreverent instance of performance art at some time

My training is in research and the scientific study of psychology. I don't do therapy. Doesn't mean I haven't met some really unusual people. I just didn't set myself the task of fixing them.
